What

|
What
makes up a Mix Vision system? |
| |
|
|
|
| |
Mix Vision is a complete
Manufacturing Execution System running on the Windows platform,
which can be tailored to coordinate
all stages of your process. See below for a brief description of
the main components of the software. The headings link to relevant
screens from Mix Vision.
 Take
a tour of some of the typical Mix Vision screens. Of course
all systems can be customized to meet your specific requirements.
|
|
Mix Vision is involved in
every aspect of the manufacturing process from tracking raw materials
and controlling the process, to preparing reports on the finished
product. The system uses standard PC's and PLC's.

Mix Vision provides the operator
with a complete graphical view of the entire mixing process. This
view, combined with comprehensive Alarms/Faults, gives the operator
the ability to monitor the mixing cycle and respond to any situation
reducing downtime and improving consistency. |
|
The Recipe Management is
designed to provide complete mixing cycle control with maximum sequence
flexibility, and use of the process parameters (time, temperature
and power). All the possible logic (and/or) and process parameter
combinations are available to be used at any step of the mixing cycle.
Additional control parameters such as variable Ram Pressure and Rotor
RPM are also available. Ingredients are selected and added to scale
categories and charge groups. |

Mix Vision uses a menu system which allows
users, with proper security, to perform the different functions.
The functions of the system are not restricted to a particular location,
instead they are only restricted by the users security. This provides
the flexibility for the chemist to make a recipe change either at
their station or right at the mixer station, or for the planner to
make schedule changes at any station. |
|
Mix Vision stores the information for
raw materials, weighed materials, and completed compounds providing
real-time inventory. Mix Vision verifies all ingredient weighments,
verifies and tracks all material used in the mixing process (via
bar code ID etc.). |

Data
Collection and Reporting |
| |
|
|
|
| |
Schedules are created by day of week
and shift. Mix Vision maintains an active schedule status and complete
schedule history. |
|
Mix Vision stores process information
after each step completion and on a programmable time interval sample.
Reporting is performed on a shift basis and can be configured to
specific needs. Mix Vision provides your customers with high visibilty
proof of your commitment to mixing quality. Process and ingredient
data is automatically collected for each batch.
A complete batch history is stored in a relational database utilizing
a unique batch ID for each set of batch data. The batch history provides
the detailed data necessary for process analysis, quality control,
and traceability. Typical database reports range from all the data
for one batch, to several key process values across a series of batch
histories. The batch history data is also available to other Microsoft
Windows programs such as SQL Server and Crystal Reports.
