Recipes
may be viewed, created or revised, according to the access
granted the operator in the security section. Each recipe consists
of four major components, the Recipe information at the top
of the screen (general information), the Mill Settings section,
the Command section (mixing procedures), and an ingredient
section for each scale area. Classifications and Types are
provided for expanded flexibility, and complete revision control
and history is also provided. Mill settings control roll temperatures,
gap and roll speeds. Mixer configuration provides for chamber
volume entry.
Ingredients tabs (Carbon Black, Pigment, Oil, Weigh Belt
and Minors) display the ingredient information for each scale
area of the recipe. The Commands tab displays the mixing
procedure steps for the recipe. Logic defines the usage of
the process variables, Time, Temperature, and Power, as individual
or as logical combinations (and, or) of conditions that must
be met to proceed to the following step. Ram Pressure and
Drive Speed can be controlled at each step of the recipe
along with event confirmation (Confirm). Event confirmation
requires the system to confirm the step has completed, an
example of this would is the "Raise Ram" command
would not complete until the "Ram UP" limit switch
is reached.
